Tito Jackson, one of the original members of the iconic Jackson 5, has passed away, according to a heartfelt Instagram post shared by his family on September 16.

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us," the post, written by his sons and accompanied by photos spanning his life, began.

"We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared deeply for everyone. Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some as ‘Coach Tito,’ and others as ‘Poppa T,’" they continued.

"Regardless, he will be missed beyond words. For us, it will always be 'Tito Time.' Please remember to follow his greatest lesson: ‘Love One Another.’ We love you, Pops. Your boys, Taj, Taryll, and TJ."

Tito was one of nine siblings in the famous Jackson family. Alongside Michael, Marlon, Jackie, and Jermaine Jackson, Tito helped catapult the Jackson 5 to superstardom with hits like “I’ll Be There,” “ABC,” “I Want You Back,” and “The Love You Save.” The group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. Tito Jackson's legacy will continue to live on through his music and the love he shared with his family, friends, and fans.
